London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

In 2025 over 250 runners will take on the world famous London Marathon to raise funds and awareness for the MS Society. This is their team page.

Story

On 27 April I will be running the 2025 London Marathon to support the MS Society for the Stop MS Appeal! I think someone at our training day summed this up perfectly…. I’m nerve-cited! Two years ago I had never even ran and feel so unbelievably proud to be taking on this mammoth challenge!

MS is an unpredictable and incurable condition that affects people's nervous systems. It can attack suddenly or progress steadily, bringing a range of symptoms. No-one with MS can be sure when or how it will affect them next.

Having worked at the MS Society for 9 years this is a cause that is very close to my heart. I have had the privilege of meeting many people within the MS community, including researchers, people living with MS and their families and I am constantly inspired by their passion and commitment.

The Stop MS Appeal aims to raise £100 million for MS research by the end of this year, we’ve already raised over £89million which is astonishing. Today we have a unique opportunity to transform the treatment and management of MS. The funds that have already been raised have helped bring together the world’s best MS scientists to answer questions about the condition, how it can be treated and how it can be stopped. We really are on the cusp of a revolution in how MS is treated!

If you are able to, I would so gratefully appreciate your support. However big or small, every penny counts. Thank you so much!!

See you at the finish line!!! (Bring snacks) ☺️
