💜 Walking for Mum – Supporting St Luke’s Hospice
As many of you know, I sadly lost my incredible mum after her brave battle with cancer. She was funny, straight as a die, and the absolute queen of our family and my hero in every way. There’s never a day that goes by that I don’t miss her, and I wanted to do something in her memory that feels positive and full of purpose, just like she was.
Mum had a big heart and always supported St Luke’s Hospice, a charity that helps so many families and patients through the hardest of times. I want to raise money for them to say thank you for the amazing work they do and to honour Mum’s memory in a way that would make her proud.
I’ll be walking 20 miles from Nantwich to Chester – and anyone who wants to join me is more than welcome (just be warned, I walk fast! 😄).
Every donation, no matter how small, will help me reach my £1,000 target and support this incredible charity that meant so much to Mum. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me keep her memory alive. 💜
Since 1988, St Luke’s has been providing palliative care to local people, supporting them in ways which go beyond the scope and funding of the NHS. Last year we supported over 1,000 local people with a huge range of support from end of life care on our ward to supporting carers, and from helping children cope with grief to helping patients return to work after an illness.
We are a charity and provide all our care for free, so we rely on the generosity and commitment of our supporters to raise more than 80% of our costs.
