THE CHRISTIE FUNDRAISER 💙💙

We have wanted to do something for a while now, something to give back — to raise funds for The Christie and the incredible units that treated Callum (The Palatine Centre – Unit 30).

The time has never quite felt right, as we kept telling ourselves we would do it once we had “got over it”. The reality is that this is something we may never truly get over.

So we are putting on our big girl/boy pants and getting started 🥰

Many people are aware of Callum’s story and the journey he has been on since being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma on 13/10/2023. Although we still find ourselves asking “why Callum?”, we also feel incredibly fortunate that he was able to receive the amazing, life-saving treatment at The Christie.

The work they do there is nothing short of incredible — saving and changing lives every single day. Without them Callum simply would not be here today, playing football and enjoying life with his mates, his girlfriend and his family 💙💙💙

That’s why we say we are the lucky ones. It’s something we will never take for granted and the reason we want to give something back 💙💙💙

Therefore on Easter Saturday, 4th April, we are planning a sponsored walk from Wigan Pier to Southport Pier. This walk is 20.6 miles and will take between 7-8 hours to complete.

I am therefore after recruits to join the walkers!! 🚶🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

Anyone up for a long walk? 😅 Please let me know! It’s going to be a challenge — not quite a marathon, but it will still be a great undertaking and something I am personally really looking forward to 😊
