This year, both Kelly and Lucy will be taking on the challenge of a charity skydive, putting our nerves and sanity to the side to help ADSS continue its vital work of helping people living with dementia.

In Kent, there is estimated to be 15,535 people affected by dementia – with this number set to more than double by 2030.

Too often, people living with dementia experience a loss of identity long before they lose their independence, with systems and services focusing on the diagnosis, rather than the person behind it.

At ADSS, we are committed to changing that. We help people feel seen, heard, and valued as individuals, ensuring care and support is built around who they are, not just their condition.

With your help, we can make sure people hold on to their identity, dignity, and sense of purpose as life changes.

Being part of the team at ADSS and having the opportunity to raise awareness and fundraise truly means the world to me. Dementia has touched my family and many of my friends, making this cause incredibly personal and close to my heart. What better way to push the boundaries and take a leap from a plane!

Having support is so important, and being able to lend a hand to others on their journey through dementia is the greatest gift we can give. After having had personal encounters with dementia in my family, I hope we can raise awareness of it's presence and encourage bravery in those facing it. Speaking of bravery - let's do this!
