Baby Necessities has outgrown its space as demand for support continues to rise. Baby Necessities are raising £200k to move to larger premises so they can support more families, welcome more volunteers, and ensure they are never faced with turning a family away.

Story

Baby Necessities is a local baby bank supporting families through trusted referral partners. Every referral bundle we prepare represents a family going through a difficult time and can include essential items such as prams, cots, clothing, toiletries and more.

Demand for support has grown rapidly. Referrals in 2025 quadrupled since they began five years ago, but space hasn’t grown with it.

As demand continues to rise, they have outgrown their current premises. Limited space affects how many donations they can accept, how many volunteers they can welcome, and how much support they can offer. It also impacts the ability to run vital services like monthly baby weighing clinics and to develop future family support sessions.

The Room to Grow campaign aims to raise £200,000 over the next year to enable Baby Necessities to move to a larger premises, creating the space they need to support more babies, families and volunteers, and to ensure they are never faced with turning a family away.
