Story
Starting on April 18th, I'm going to be solo cycling the entire length of the UK from Land's End in Cornwall to John o' Groats in Scotland over 2 weeks. I'll hopefully be raising some funds for Spear, the charity I work for, in the process.
Spear supports people experiencing homelessness in London from rough sleeping to finding a place to call home. As an outreach worker, I work to help people take their first steps off the streets and into long-term accommodation.
Working for Spear the last 4 months has shown me first-hand the importance of the work they do in supporting some of the most marginalised and vulnerable people in London to rebuild their lives. The opportunity to be a part of the opening of Richmond and Wandsworth Council's new homeless hub in Clapham Junction has also proved that well-funded and organised initiatives make a huge difference in the outcomes of those rough sleeping.
My training (or lack thereof) has consisted of cycling to work and... that's it. If all goes to plan, I'll be averaging 116km/72 miles per day so if you could spare some prayers and a couple quid to the cause I'd be super grateful! Any donation amount will go a long way :)
