Why am I doing it?

Sadly 2 of my dear friends and an old family friend have been recently diagnosed with cancer. One being terminal with a short prognosis. (Sadly yesterday the family announced that Jackie Millward had passed away on Monday. ☹️)

Mum had breast cancer and I had a cancer scare along with other family scares.

It’s terrifying for all concerned, the patient, family, friends. It’s life changing. It’s damn right awful.

I wanted to do something to challenge myself, but have a small impact on others. I love walking but never this far in the time scale. I’m busy and yes I will be even busier now training but I need your help and support. Words of encouragement. A couple of £ if you can spare. Kick up the arse may be needed occasionally.

My picture is of my girls. They are my world. My joy. I hope to make them proud.

We never know what is round the corner but we must keep fighting .

My challenge is the 50 km, walking from Runnymede to Henley.
