Story
On Sunday 13th September 2026, I’ll be taking on the Great North Run to raise money for Tommy’s, a charity that funds research into miscarriage, stillbirth, and premature birth – and supports families through some of the most difficult times imaginable.
My journey to this point has been shaped by my own experiences. In January 2017, I gave birth to my first daughter after a normal pregnancy and birth – everything was perfect. Then, in June 2019, I experienced a missed miscarriage and found out at our 12-week scan that there was no heartbeat. I had to undergo surgery, and it was one of the most heart-breaking times of my life.
Fast forward to June 2023, our rainbow baby was born – a moment filled with joy, relief, and gratitude.
I’m running for Tommy’s to help fund vital research, to give hope to other parents, and to support the incredible work they do for families who face pregnancy loss.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. It will help Tommy’s continue to save babies’ lives and support parents through loss and pregnancy after loss.
Thank you so much for reading my story and supporting this cause so close to my heart. 💛🌈
