Story
Sharon and I are taking part in the Teesside Hospice Midnight Walk in memory of Paul.
Paul was not only a colleague for many years, but also one of my oldest and dearest friends. During the final weeks of his life, Paul and his family were supported by Teesside Hospice. They didn’t just ensure that Paul, Jane and the boys were comfortable; they showed extraordinary kindness and compassion and were incredibly accommodating to the many friends and family who came to spend time with Paul.
Their care made an incredibly difficult time a little more bearable for everyone. We are walking to say thank you, and to help Teesside Hospice continue to provide the same level of care and support to other families when they need it most.
Any support, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated.
Light up the night and walk in memory of your loved ones.
Our Midnight Walk is back for 2026! Light up the streets of Redcar and Marske with your friends and family, while raising money in memory of your loved ones for Teesside Hospice.
After raising almost £80,000 in 2025 with over 700 walkers, we’re ready to make this year’s walk even more impactful and fun.
Our mission is to help families make the most of every day, creating lasting memories and experiences. By walking 11km through Redcar and Marske in the middle of the night, you’ll be helping create more memories for those living with a life limiting illness in Teesside.
Why your support matters:
Teesside Hospice exists to support people living with a terminal illness, helping them live as well as possible, for as long as possible.
