Story
This is a memorial donation page for our beloved colleague Robert Witheridge.
The Brunswick Club for Young People was dreamed up by a group of soldiers being held prisoner during World War 2.
Once the soldiers came home they reached out to more people, one being Major Harry Witheridge (our Robert's Dad).
Monies were raised, premises were built and the club for boys started.
Over the years the club has changed with the times and The Club is now a purpose-built youth centre, offering educational and leisure services and facilities to children and young people aged from 7 to 19 years.
Open seven days a week, with an active membership of over 850 and an average daily attendance of 90+, the Club enjoys a good level of respect and support in the local community.
This club has always held a special place in Robert's heart and he asked for any donations in his memeory be made to this charity.
