Story
In 2026, Claire and Kelly, trustees of Jubilee Fields Community Centre, are taking on a personal challenge to celebrate a very special milestone — 25 years of the community centre.
Throughout 2026, they will aim to climb 25 Wainwrights, marking each year that Jubilee Fields has been at the heart of the community.
Wainwrights are a collection of 214 fells in the Lake District, made famous by Alfred Wainwright’s walking guides. They vary hugely in difficulty — some involve long days on your feet, steep climbs, rough ground, unpredictable weather, and significant physical and mental endurance. Completing just one can be a challenge, so tackling 25 over the course of a year is no small feat.
This is more than a walking challenge. It’s a chance to celebrate the centre’s past, recognise the work it continues to do, and help secure its future.
Every penny raised will go directly back into supporting Jubilee Fields Community Centre, helping it remain a welcoming, inclusive space and continue providing activities and support for the local community.
