Story
So after the incredible experience I had at London Marathon 2024, I was desperate to do it all over again. Fortunately, Sue Ryder have given me a 2025 place, which I am so grateful for!
Despite having one marathon under my belt, this will not make the training any easier. Just like last year it will take a lot of mental grit and determination and one hell of a lot of running... in the rain :-)!
I will be running in memory of Steve Holloway again. A lovely friend that we sadly lost to cancer in April 2023.
Steve spent his final weeks in Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice. Fiona was so grateful for the care and support that both her and Steve received during this time.
Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
As many of you know, last year I managed to raise an incredible £10,783, which was down to the amazing support I received from friends, family and complete strangers!
I am fully aware that it will be a lot harder to raise the money second time round. Therefore I would be really grateful if you could dig deep and help me raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause. Every donation I receive will spur me on in the cold, dark, wet months of training ahead
Thank you so much x
