I'm walking 1K a Day in February for Dementia UK

Walk 1K a Day in February 2024 · 1 February 2024 to 29 February 2024 ·
I'm walking 1K a day in February to support families facing dementia - or maybe more 🤞 we'll see.
As some of you may know Ken's mum, Jeanette, died at Christmas. She had battled against vascular dementia in the latter years of her life which robbed her of her precious mobility as well as her short term memory - those who knew her know she loved walking, hiking and trekking (even Nepal on one memorable trip!).
Thankfully she still knew who we all were and, at the end, she slipped away peacefully with Chris by her side.
I'll be thinking about Jeanette every step of the way and I hope you can make a small donation towards this vital charity 🙏
Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity. Our nurses, called Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing care to families affected by all forms of dementia, including Alzheimers disease. They help people with dementia stay independent for longer, and support the people caring for them so they have the strength to cope with the bad days, and the energy to enjoy the good days. They have the time to listen and the knowledge to solve problems, helping families take back control when they are struggling.
