Kendall and Roland's fundraiser for Fine Cell Work

About Fine Cell Work
Fine Cell Work is a UK-based rehabilitation charity and social enterprise which makes beautiful handmade products through the transformative power of needlework.
The social enterprise trains prisoners and prison leavers in high-quality needlework skills, and then supports and pays them to create beautiful handmade products, designed by world renowned artists.
Fine Cell Work addresses three key social issues:
- the need for rehabilitation for people in prison and for prison leavers in the community
- the challenges of release
- negative public perceptions of people who are or have been in prison.
What your support will do
- £1,000 supports training and security clearance for a group of 5 volunteers to teach in prison
- £500 pays for the training, materials and support for one prisoner for an entire year
- £250 covers the volunteer costs of a stitching class in prison for a month
- £100 provides a prisoner with the materials for 10 stitching kits (1000 hours of creative activity)
- £50 sponsors a prisoner to train as a volunteer 'class coordinator', teaching and mentoring other prisoners.
Did you know that more than 40% of adult prisoners in England and
Wales reoffend within one year of release? Help us stop the cycle.
