Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I first started raising funds for Parkinsons UK back in January 2015 with a skydive two friends had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s thankfully they are both doing ok at present and handling it ok. Over the years since then on the many challenges I have taken on I have met so many people who have this terrible disease and even more people who have family members or close friends who deal with it daily. Hearing their stories certainly pushes me on to help in any way I can while I’m still fit enough to do what I enjoy walking hiking hill climbing or just being outdoors. So after a year and a half break from my last 500 mile walk I’m off again . No flights this time I’m staying on my doorstep linking the Cowal way with the John Muir way starting at Portavadie in cowal and finishing in Dunbar on the East Coast a mere 200 miles. I will be setting off at the end of March and just hope the weather gods are on my side but have a feeling waterproofs will be essential . Looking forward to seeing central Scotland and no doubt meet a few friends along the way. Your kindness will go a long way in helping to find a cure for Parkinson’s .
