Climbing the 3 peaks TWICE IN 48 HOURS. · 22 April 2025

The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

I’ll be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Mount Snowdon….TWICE, all inside 48 hours!!

Only around 40% of people who attempt the 3 peaks once in 24 hours manage to complete it, so this really is going to be a hard one.

And here’s why I’m doing it.

The sad fact is that 1 in 2 people in the UK will develop cancer.

Current estimates expect that by 2025 around 3.5 million people will be living with cancer in the UK, with someone being diagnosed every 90 seconds.

The likelihood is that every single one of us has been affected in some way by cancer.

Macmillan are there to help everyone with cancer live as full a life as possible. They can literally help with everything, from emotional support, helping patients sort out wigs, getting grants, filling out forms, pretty much everything.

Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs
