Story

I am taking part in Ness Factor 2023! See https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/revealed-ness-factor-2023-contestants-317247/

As CEO for Highland Hospice I have done various fundraising events over the last 12 years. However most things have been within my comfort zone (usually involving running or cycling). Ness Factor is something way out my comfort zone. The last time I sang in public was with the Falkirk Junior Singers aged 10!

My job obviously involves seeing the difference Highland Hospice makes to people on a day to day basis and I am extremely proud of the work we do. I am also very aware of the money required to make it all happen which involves incredible commitment to fundraising by so many people. Ness Factor has been an amazing contribution to the Hospice over the last few years and there is always a great buzz about it.

For this challenge I will be working twice weekly with a professional singing coach and I will sing in front of a panel of judges and an audience of over 350 guests. The winner is chosen from a combination of judges scoring, audience votes and individual fundraising totals. All funds raised will go towards my scoring, however more importantly to support the great work of Highland Hospice. Whether you can donate £5 to £50 every penny will help make a difference.

I’ll be taking it seriously but if it gives other a people a laugh and helps to raise much needed money for the work of the Hospice then it will all be worth it.

Thank You x
