Story
The Freedom Project is the only organisation offering free, long-term, community-based support in West Cumbria as part of its mission to help stop domestic abuse.
We work with perpetrators, families and children, and have supported over 10,000 individuals during our 22 years. Referrals last year increased by 57%.
Our key services include a helpline, group support for adults and children victims of abusive relationships, one-to-one counselling & training.
A matter literally too close to home and my heart.
Not only is the target a survivor of targeted abuse but their children too.
Austin and Hattie are my driving force, as if I needed more but help me support enabling more people accessing life changing support towards sustained liberation, recovery and safety.
I will be holding my children in my heart every stride of the 13.1 miles and reach that finish line for all those out there who can and will survive domestic abuse with vital support, encouragement, therapies from The Freedom Project.
Encouraging, ensuring and educating anyone, who has experienced Domestic Violence, to access to vital lifelines to freedom has no price tag but every £1 helps The Freedom Project support liberation from abuse every hour of the day.
