Kate's impact and legacy have extended awareness of Secondary Breast Cancer and her charity far beyond what she could have imagined. This fund is to fulfill her final wishes to support youngsters going on this journey with their loved ones.

Story

Kerri and Nat will be running the Manchester 10k in memory of Kerri’s great friend Kate Rackham who sadly passed away last year from secondary breast cancer. Kate was an incredible friend, mum, wife, daughter and sister.

Kate was a true inspiration to us all and was not only an advocate but also the founder and trustee of the Fighting to be Heard Charity. Kate's impact and legacy have extended awareness of Secondary Breast Cancer and her charity far beyond what she could have imagined.

According to the Meltwater Report, Kate's final tweet on her account @teacherwithcancer has been viewed 41 million times, and the media campaign since her death has reached 1.6 billion worldwide.

The charity was founded in 2021 by 20 women, all diagnosed with incurable secondary breast cancer. It exists to raise awareness and financial support and friendship for those living with this illness.

Any money raised will go towards counselling and support for youngsters going on this journey with parents with an incurable diagnosis. All of the money from this fund is for the wishes of Kate.
