Kerri's fundraiser for Bliss

A group of us are swimming 7k in open water down the River Avon (Aune) estuary in Devon, ending up on Bantham beach. · 7 September 2024
I am raising money in memory of my Great Nephew Reggie. He was a gorgeous little boy, everyone who met him loved him, he could brighten up anyone’s day. In November 23 at the age of 2 Reggie went in for a routine hip operation but suffered a cardiac arrest and was tragically taken from us. Our family was completely devastated and the sadness at such a loss will always be with us.
My Niece Gemma (Reggie’s Mummy) once raised money with Reggie for Bliss by doing a step challenge. Gemma would strap Reggie into his pushchair and off they would go each day until the challenge was complete. It holds a special memory for Gemma and so I want to honour Reggie by doing this swim for the same charity .
I will be joined by an amazing bunch of people who I swim with most mornings, they were a great support when I felt I was going through the worst time of my life. In September we will all be heading to Devon to complete the challenge and hopefully raise lots of money for Bliss.
About Bliss - 1 in every 7 babies born in the UK will need specialist care.
Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. They rely on donations to fund their work, and without our help they won't be able to reach the 90,000 babies needing neonatal care each year.
Your donation to my page will help Bliss to drive improvements in neonatal care, to ensure that the needs of babies are at the heart of policy and planning for the future, and to provide information and support to all families with a baby born premature or sick.
