Story
On the 12th of November 2000 (Remembrance Sunday) Annie’ big sister Zoe was born prematurely. Despite the incredible efforts of the neonatal team at The Royal Sussex Hospital, Zoe died in my arms having only lived for 16 hours. I still can’t describe the impact, you become part of a group that you never wanted to join.
SANDS became part of my life after giving me invaluable support in the years after Zoe’s death and I have supported them ever since.
Zoe would have been 25 this year, so the charity walk in my home county felt like fate. Therefore on Saturday 13th of September I will be walking 20miles to help raise money for this wonderful charity in memory of Zoe.
I know that times are really tough, but any donation no matter how small will go a long way to supporting parents who are going through this devastating experience.
Thank yous:
Huge thank you in advance to anyone who donates, your support really means a lot.
Thank you to my not forgotten colleagues at BA, I would never have got back to work without your help, support and kindness.
The Devereaux family, thank you for always being there.
Finally to my lakes cheer team Annie and Sophie. Annie you would have been an amazing little sister for Zoe and Sophie, we love having you as part of our family.
Kerrie x
