Herriot Hospice provides palliative care in the Hambleton and Richmondshire districts of North Yorkshire, caring for people in the final days of their lives, in a supportive, dignified way. They offer practical, social, and emotional support to people facing a terminal diagnosis, helping people to live in confidence at home in their final days, in their own homes.

We sadly lost our cousin Elaine in November 2023. A cousin who was more like a sister. The family joke was that she was the favourite niece. If a bottle of wine was opened Elaine made sure it was emptied too. Gone too soon and missed by all of us. She was the life and soul of all celebrations and the light to so many. We do this in memory of her.
