Story

'RUNNING FOR ROBIN'

Robin Gilling - 20/06/1955 - 08/03/2024

I've decided this year that I'm running the 10K for Robin, not only in his memory but to raise money for St Michael's Hospice too.

We want to thank them for the wonderful care and kindness that Robin received during his last few weeks with us.

Not only did the fantastic staff look after him they wrapped their arms around us too and held us through what was a very difficult time especially for his wife Sue. It's not easy to say 'goodbye' to someone you've loved deeply and spent almost your entire life with.

So it's time for me to dust off the running shoes, limber up and get training.

We would like to do Robin proud and raise as much as we can so that the wonderful care we received will be there for other families who need it too.

I would love it if you could make a donation to spur me on and give us all a much needed positive boost at such a difficult time.

I'll be posting updates regularly as I go and sharing some of our memories and stories of Robin along the way.

Until the big day, if you see an out of breath middle aged woman running the lanes of Herefordshire, give me a toot or a wave! Onwards and upwards towards the finish line!

Thanks Kerry xx
