Nacoa's Biggest Ever Walk in Sussex · 23 March 2024 ·

1 in 5 children in the UK are affected by their parents' alcohol problems. They are often frightened and isolated, with no one to turn to for help. Nacoa responds by providing a free, confidential telephone, 1-2-1 chat and email helpline.

Story

On March 23rd I will be taking part in a 5 mile charity walk at Seven Sister Cliffs, along with my sister Carla and my Step Mom Sharon.

For a cause that is very close to our hearts.

If you know me personally then you know how and why this charity is so important to us and why we are getting involved.

NACAO is a charity set up to help children of those with alcoholic parents.

They give these children a voice and let them be heard. Helping them to break the cycle of silence and feeling so alone.

Alcohol affects families and children in so many ways, ways you probably wouldn’t even think possible!!

This is why NACAO is so important, they give the children a support network of people who are trained and who have experienced this first hand. They support them to have the strength to get through the trauma been caused and help them to come out the other side.

If you could please sponsor us to do this and give NACAO the opportunity to support another child then please do.

No matter how big or small your donation it all counts!!!

Thank you

Kerry, Carla and Sharon
