Every day in the UK, 18 people take their own life. That's 18 people who feel their only option is to no longer carry on.

Suicide is and remains the the biggest killer of men aged under 45 - and this has to change!

Current NHS waiting lists for mental health support are c5 months, and many simply do not have this long to wait, taking their own life whilst waiting for help.

Every penny we raise goes towards supporting those at risk of suicide by funding an initial 6 private counselling sessions within 24 hours.

For those in need, this can literally be the difference between life and death.

To date we have funded therapy for over 100 amazingly brave individuals and with your generosity, we hope to help even more

On a personal note, The Hike with Mike Foundation has already helped me in so many ways, despite only discovering them a year ago! I started out by joining their group hikes and as a result have met some incredible new friends.

Then in June 2023, after a painful and confusing break up spiralled me into an episode of crippling anxiety and depression, I reached out to the Hike with Mike Foundation for help. Within a short space of time, Mike helped me to find a local counsellor, who then played a pivotal part in my recovery.

In addition to this, I had offers of people from the foundation popping over for cups of tea and always being on the other end of the phone for extra support and encouragement. Grateful is an understatement.

The most I’ve ever hiked in a day is 12 miles but this challenge consists of hiking a gruelling 26 miles in a day so to say I’m shitting myself is also an understatement!

So if you can spare any pennies for this incredible charity and help motivate me to get training 😬, I’d be beyond grateful!
