Kerry's fundraiser for Headway - the brain injury association

Kerry Raymond is raising money for Headway - the brain injury association
In memory of Ted Raymond

Run Dorney 5K · 27 September 2025

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

On 27th September 2025, I’ll be taking on the Dorney 5K in memory of my dad, Ted Raymond, who sadly passed away suddenly in February 2024 due to a brain injury.

I’m not really a runner - far from it - but I’m determined to take on the challenge and hopefully beat my 2024 5K charity time with my partner Gemma joining me for moral support!

More importantly, I’m doing it to raise funds for Headway, a charity that supports people affected by brain injuries and their families.

Every 90 seconds, someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with a brain injury and the impact on individuals and their loved ones can be life-changing. Although Headway didn’t support my family directly, their work is vital, and I want to help them continue making a difference for others facing similar experiences.

Any donation, big or small, would mean a lot. I know times are hard and life is expensive, so if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page instead – it all helps!

Thank you for reading and for supporting a cause very close to my heart. 💎 💙
