Many of you will know that this year we had to make the difficult decision to have our fluff monster Baloo put to sleep after 14 years. He was a rescue dog and brought us so much joy, an integral part of the family.

The day after we had him put to sleep I received an email to say I had a place in the London Marathon through the ballot and I firmly believe it was Baloo's way of telling me we had made the right decision and that he was happy over the Rainbow Bridge.

I wanted to raise funds for a local charity that help animals in a similar position to Baloo when we got him and have been following Bleakholt for a long time. They help 1300 animals find a new home each year, caring for those who have no one..
