Providing Financial Support for Cancer Patients and Families in Bryan/College Station, TX.
For those who may not know, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April 2024, beginning a health journey unlike any other. My treatment started on May 1, 2024, with 24 weeks of chemotherapy, followed by surgery and 20 rounds of radiation. I'm now in the midst of another 24 weeks of chemotherapy, currently 9 weeks into this phase of treatment.
Staying positive and driven is everything, as you navigate a cancer diagnosis. I’m turning this fight into fuel to help others. I am continuing to work full-time and maintain a rigorous workout routine; and now I am taking on the 400-mile East Texas Showdown bikepacking race, while still on chemotherapy.
I am raising awareness and funds for BCS Fights Cancer — a new nonprofit dedicated to financially supporting patients undergoing treatment here in the BCS area.
