Scotland End-to End! 864km/537m 😅
During May and June this year, I’m attempting to walk the length of Scotland 🏴 where we are fortunate to enjoy some true wilderness. The Scottish National Trail stats at Kirk Yetholm on the border, passes via my home town of Pitlochry and finishes at the Cape Wrath lighthouse. I’ll be meeting friends on the way, camping, bothying and occasionally hotelling 🍻 🍕I’ll experience everything Scotland has to offer from mountains, rivers, lochs and beaches to Kelpies and probably millions of midges 😬
The John Muir Trust believes that wild places and the experience of wildness are vital to our lives. They work with others to repair and rewild damaged ecosystems, looking after some of the most magnificent landscapes from the far north west of Scotland to the Lake District in England. I’d like to help preserve them for future generations 💚
“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilised people are beginning to find that going to the mountains is going home; that wilderness is a necessity…” John Muir.
