Story
This summer, I'm taking on the challenge to swim 13 or 26 miles! I'm asking friends and family to sponsor my swim and help get food to the people who need it most. For me, there is an intrinsic link between food poverty, poor mental health, behavioural issues in children, including poor concentration in school and subsequent lack of achievements and social mobility. In a developed country food poverty should just not happen!
I haven't been swimming since pre lock down, and achieving 13 miles until end of December is a huge ask for me.
Please donate if you can. Every pound raised can help provide the equivalent of 5 much-needed meals for children, families and local communities.
FareShare takes good-to-eat surplus food, which is unsold or unwanted, and helps get it to one million people across the UK. With 1 in 6 people worried about where their next meal is coming from, this makes a huge difference, changing lives every day.
Thank you for any support you can provide. It means a huge amount to me.
