KES Year 1 Bath to Bristol Cycle to Save Orangutans

KES Year One is raising money for Borneo Nature Foundation International

Cycle Ride · 7 June 2026

We protect Borneo's rainforest through community-led conservation efforts, scientific research and educational outreach.

Story

King Edward’s Year One class group has been learning about “Our Wonderful World”, and many of the children were particularly moved by the plight of the Orangutan. The children are joining together to Pedal for the Orangutans! They will be cycling from Bath to Bristol to raise crucial funds for The Orangutan Project, part of The Borneo Nature Trust. The Orangutan Project supports a wide range of critical projects that address the holistic problem facing remaining fragmented Orangutan populations - including fighting deforestation and habitat loss at the highest level. The projects funded by The Orangutan Project not only include direct Orangutan conservation, such as Orangutan rescue, rehabilitation and release programs, but also forest habitat protection and regeneration, education, research and local community partnerships.
