Hi everyone!! My Husband Tom and I are taking part in the Royal Parks Half on Sunday 11 October 2026, running 13.1 miles for Prostate Cancer UK.

This cause is incredibly close to our hearts. My Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in November 2021. He had no symptoms at all until the cancer had already spread to his spine, ribs and thigh. Just 2 months before we had been up to Manchester to watch Manchester City together, with no idea what was to come over the next few months.

These past few months of this year have been incredibly tough for us all, seeing your parent is in pain and knowing there is nothing you can do apart from be there for them.

Despite everything he has been through, he continues to face each day with remarkable strength, positivity and determination. He is a huge inspiration to our entire family.

Since his diagnosis, he has become passionate about raising awareness of prostate cancer and encouraging men to understand their risk and get checked. Through conversations with friends and others, he has encouraged several people to have a PSA blood test. For some, this led to early detection and treatment that may well have saved their lives.

On a lighter note, anyone who knows my Dad knows how much he loves Manchester City. One of his biggest goals was getting back to the Etihad to watch his beloved City, and thankfully he's been able to do just that these past few years, and ww have tickets to make it back again this season! ⚽🩵
