Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

At 60 years old and recently retired from full-time work, I've decided to support this charity by embarking on my first self-funded cycling challenge. I will ride 450 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, to the world-famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia. The route will take me through the vibrant Mekong Delta, picturesque villages, and the ancient temples of Angkor.

Along the way, we'll pass the floating market on the Mekong River and pay our respects to the victims of the Khmer Rouge at the Killing Fields near Phnom Penh.

Make-A-Wish® UK grant life-changing wishes for thousands of critically ill children across the UK. Sadly, the number of wish enquiries from seriously ill children with less than a year to live is rising fast. They need help to meet this urgent demand now - before it’s too late. For families with critically ill children, every day counts. Your support has the power to make a wish come true for a critically ill child, allowing families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.
