Story
Hi, my name is Kevin and I only started running in August 2024. Originally it was with the hope to improve both my physical and mental health, but I never imagined how much I would fall in love hitting the streets and putting miles under my feet! Running has saved me, and my long term goal was to run a major marathon, so to be given the chance to run the London Marathon is a dream come true. I will be representing Toolstation, where I am a store manager, and raising money on behalf of our long term charity partner, Macmillan Cancer Support, and in particular supporting the work the Macmillan Cancer Nurses do.
It costs £33 to power a Macmillan nursing hour - time they use to help people living with cancer, and their families, receive medical, practical, and emotional support. My mum passed away this year after a long battle with breast cancer, and the Macmillan nurses were nothing short of remarkable in giving support and advice to both her, and my dad, in the most difficult of times.
So please, give what you can, and wish me luck for the 26th April 2026.
