Story

Kevin, Tom, Anna & Lib are running the Eryri (Snowdonia) marathon on Saturday 24th October 2026.

We are attempting to raise £15 for every mile of the 26.2 we will run together, which is the amount it costs for The Air Ambulance to fly one mile. We would love to raise £393 in total to support the an Air Ambulance to fly the distance of a marathon - hoping we don’t need their services en route!

It will be Anna’s second marathon of 2026, but with a total climb of 837m on what’s frequently called the toughest and most iconic UK road marathon, she’s not going to be beating her 3 hours 33 PB!

Lib was persuaded to join the team whilst on a year abroad in France, not that she needed another excuse to head off and wild camp and hike from Annecy to Chamonix!

It’s Kev’s second ever road marathon - 28 years after he completed the London at age 28 and Tom’s first ever road marathon - at 28. Although Tom runs less these days, he does enough climbing, surfing (and the latest addition this summer - snorkelling) to stay fit - although Anna did revel in beating him at Christmas Day Parkrun for the first time ever in almost a decade!

It’s been a tough summer of training with the heat and no time off on holiday either with runs completed in Provence, the Pyrenees, the Lake District, the Brecon Beacons and the Peak District. Home base camp consisted of mainly a silly amount of laps of Beacon Hill (Leics) completed between them - Anna currently holding the record at 5 in one go!

They have only managed one run all together - a Beacon hill/Outwoods Combo on Fathers’ Day. The three kids managed a half marathon together on the Gower coastal path in August… with a coffee and cake break with the rest of the family midway at Rhossili - straight out of the Kipchoge training playbook apparently!
