Every woman needs a midwife when she is giving birth and The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust wants midwives to provide the best care they can. Midwives and students can find it hard to get funding for extra training or to carry out research to improve midwifery. That is why we give out financial awards to enable them to develop their practice or to improve local services.
