Story
This year, I’m turning 60 — and instead of slowing down, starting on the 5th of September, I’m cycling the length of France from Roscoff to Hendaye.
It’s a big personal challenge covering approximately 800 miles over 14 days on which, for some mad reason, my brother Steve has agreed to join me!
I’m not doing it just for "fun" though, I'll riding for an even bigger reason: Raising awareness (and hopefully funds) for Prostate Cancer UK.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK, I lost one close friend last year and just discovered another has also recently been diagnosed. The work this charity does saves lives through research, awareness, and support. Every mile I ride is in support of that mission. Currently, there’s no screening for Prostate Cancer, and many men are diagnosed too late. If you have not been tested yet, do it now! (It’s just a quick blood test)
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, that would be amazing! You’ll be helping fund vital work and giving me extra motivation to keep pedalling all the way to the Spanish border. If you’d just like to follow our ride, go to my Instagram @kevgerety
Thank you for your support — it really means a lot.
Kevin
