Story
So for those who know me know my back story. For those who don’t, in brief I lost my daughter to suicide in 2021, she was just 19. Since then I’ve found myself hospitalised twice due to mental health problems. After the 2nd time I vowed that I didn’t want to get ill again, Part of my healing process is to raise awareness of this often hidden illness. Last year was a weightlifting challenge and this year we’re attempting to walk across the Isle of Wight, right to left, just under 27 miles. I’m under no illusion it will be tough, that’s why I’m already in training, but if I’m able to raise awareness ( and a few quid!) and we can get the message across that mental health issues shouldn’t be hidden but instead highlighted and talked about then I think it will be worth it. As always my training partner (the Mrs) will also be putting her self through this torture lol.
The more people we can get behind this the more awareness we raise…. So if any of this hits home please please please get behind us. Remember this is 26+ miles across the Island non stop uphill and down dale.
Thank you ❤️
