Story
This March, a team of four of us will be taking on a 24‑hour rope‑climb challenge at CrossFit SY1, with one goal in mind: to collectively climb the full height of Mount Everest. That’s 8,848 metres of rope climbs, grit, teamwork, and a lot of determination.
We’re doing this to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that supports young people facing one of the toughest battles imaginable.
Teenage years are challenging enough on their own, a time when identity, confidence, friendships, and independence are all still forming. But for young people diagnosed with cancer, everything becomes even harder. Hospital rooms replace classrooms. Treatment schedules replace social lives. And too often, they stop being seen as teenagers and start being seen only as patients.
Teenage Cancer Trust makes sure that doesn’t happen.
They create spaces where young people can still be themselves.
They provide specialist nurses who understand the emotional and social impact of cancer on teenagers.
And they help young people hold onto their identity at a time when everything else feels out of their control.
That’s why we’re climbing.
For every young person who deserves support, dignity, and a chance to still feel like them.
If you’re able to donate, whether it’s the cost of a coffee or something bigger, it genuinely makes a difference. And if you can’t donate, sharing this page helps more than you know.
Thank you for supporting us, and for supporting the young people who need it most.
