Story
Last year Andy, Simon, Pete and I completed the Great Glen Canoe trail across Scotland raising over £4000 for prostate cancer. It was a bit more endurancey than I expected but we all survived relatively unscathed.
They say you can’t teach stupid and to prove it we are off again! This year we will canoe the length of the River Spey from Aviemore to the North Sea, a total of about 50 miles
The River is famous for its beauty but also for the numerous rapids that you have to survive, one of which is encouragingly called The Washing Machine.
We have had one change of crew member and following a rigorous selection process we welcome Ally Hook to the team!
We will again, try and upload some videos and photos of our progress, signal permitting! We will be hitting the water on Sunday 12th May for a white water training session and then setting off on the adventure finishing on Thursday 16th.
We are again raising funds for prostate cancer which is a subject close to our hearts, all being children of the 1960’s and one of our number having been successfully treated for this horrible cancer.
If you have a few quid lying around please consider donating.
