Story
On 24 September I’ll be taking on the formidable Royal Marines 'Bottom Field' and 'Endurance Course' in a back to back challenge to raise £1500 for the Royal Marines Association.
The challenge is personal. Between 2008 & 2009, I served as a UK diplomat in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, where I had the privilege of working alongside Royal Marines & the then 3 Commando Brigade HQ. I saw first hand their professionalism, courage and commitment in some of the most demanding circumstances imaginable. They taught me a great deal about leadership, resilience and teamwork & set me on the road to lifelong fitness.
Today, many serving and former Royal Marines, continue to need support as they transition to civilian life or face new challenges. The Royal Marines Association provides vital help for that, ensuring that the Royal Marines’ unique spirit endures long after their formal service ends.
By sponsoring me you’ll be helping support those who have given so much in service to others. Any donation, large or small, will make a difference, and will help motivate me through what promises to be a tough but rewarding day on the Commando Training Course.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
Kevin
