King Alfred’s Way Ultra Marathon · 11 August 2023

For over 40 years Phyllis Tuckwell has been supporting and caring for patients and families who have been given the worst possible news in West Surrey & North East Hampshire. We rely on the support of our community as we have to raise over £25,000 every day to continue our amazing services.

Story

I am running a 220 mile ultramarathon called the King Alfred’s Way Ultra. It is a one off event that starts and finishes in Winchester, Hampshire. The route takes me through the Hart district, home of my running club Hart Road Runners and through Farnham, home of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. It is Hart Road Runners 40th year and the club have long be fundraisers and supporters of the Phyllis Tuckwell charity, so I thought this all fitted very well for raising some more money for this excellent charity.
