Story
I’m proud to be joining #TeamARUK in the 2025 Oxford Half Marathon on Sunday 12th October – and I’d be so grateful for your support.
Dementia is a disease that has always deeply troubled me. I’ve seen first-hand the devastating impact it can have – not only on those living with it, but on their families and loved ones. It robs people of their memories, their independence, and their sense of self.
Back in 2016, I ran the London Marathon to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. This year, I’m proud to continue supporting the fight against dementia by running for **Alzheimer’s Research UK** – the UK’s leading dementia research charity.
ARUK are striving for a cure, by revolutionising the way we treat, diagnose and prevent dementia. The stats speak for themselves:
* 1 in 2 of us will be directly affected by dementia.
* For every four cancer researchers, there’s only one working on dementia.
* Research is at a tipping point – with new drugs in clinical trials, we’ve never been closer to real breakthroughs.
By supporting me, you’re helping fund the pioneering research that will lead us to a cure. Every donation – no matter how small – truly makes a difference.
Thank you for your support!
Kevin
