Almost half of UK adults have raised cholesterol, which can lead to heart disease. At the age of 37, Kevin's father who had high cholesterol suffered a heart attack and in the ensuing years has had multiple strokes and surgical interventions. We have have lost loved ones to heart disease and together we aim to tackle the precipitous Striding Edge up on to Helvellyn and on to Raise (pun intended) before descending back to Glenridding. In total, we aim to climb > 1200m of ascent over 20 kilometres with hope of raising (see what I did there) some much-needed funds for this small but important charity.
