Story
Grace Holdnall is a typical 12 year old girl who, until recently, was navigating her way through life, moving up to secondary school, having fun with friends and enjoying her favourite hobbies of football and dance.
She is a massive Liverpool fan and plays for Withymoor FC alongside her friends. She has been with the team since it began 3 years ago where she has continued to grow in both confidence and skill.
However, she was recently diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, which hit all of her family and friends really hard. Only days before receiving this news she had a brilliant game, scored, and even got girl of the game!
Grace is on a mission....one of her first thoughts she had following her first hospital stay was to find ways she could raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital, where she is still undergoing excellent care during this traumatic time.
We would therefore like to continue to to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Grace would appreciate your help!
We are a group of middle aged (ish!) guys, who just love cycling! Last year, we cycled the length of France together and this year, we thought we'd do Spain! And while doing it, why not help such a fantastic cause!
Starting on Saturday, October 18th, the team will embark on a seven-day, 650-mile journey across Spain. The route is relentless, with over 36,000 feet of climbing from Santander on the Atlantic coast to Malaga on the Mediterranean
The funds already raised have gone a long way in helping Grace and many other children like her, who are experiencing times where us as adults would struggle, so the fight continues!
We believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids so it’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Your support empowers the hospital to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK and your donations are helping to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.
