So I have decided to take part in the 50k ultra in the Lakes this September 19th, with some serious climbing of the fells, taking in over 9,000ft. This will be even more challenging for me as I have had a painful knee since November 2025 with x-rays and MRI and some physio but still not got to the bottom of the pain. I just keep going to the gym 3 days a week and working on strength of the knee, hamstrings, calf's and back/hips in the hope that things will improve. No running though because the next day I will not be able to straighten the right leg. So this is going to be very tough, but ideal as i need a challenge and what a great cause!

I normally raises money for other charities but lately I have heard many horrifying stories from people I know that have been through or are going through this in there life. It is not just the person that is suffering from dementia but all of those around them and the heart breaking reality of it all. I cannot imagine the pain of someone you have known all your life not recognising you! So it is time to put an end to this by finding a cure!
