Maggie's Aberdeen Jail or Bail · 21 February 2025 ·

Fourteen local business leaders have been found guilty of outrageous charges and locked up for Maggie's Aberdeen. With only a phone, laptop and their powers of persuasion, they now need your help to raise funds to pay their bail and escape jail.

Story

I am one of fourteen local Business leaders who have been put behind bars for Maggie's. I've been found guilty of being a completer finisher and sent down with bail set at a minimum of £1,000.

With only my phone, laptop and my powers of persuasion, I need your help to raise funds to pay bail and escape jail!

I have chosen to take part in Jail or Bail to support Maggie’s Cancer Centre because I believe in the power of community and compassion. Joining Jail or Bail is my way of standing in solidarity with those battling cancer and contributing to a cause that brings hope and comfort to many.

For many people living in the Northeast, Maggie's Aberdeen is a beacon of hope, offering a unique programme of practical and psychological support, available free of charge to people at any stage and with any type of cancer, and to their family and friends.

Maggie’s Aberdeen doors opened in 2013 and by the end of 2025 they expect to have welcomed and supported over 100,000 visits, delivered thousands of one-to-one psychologist sessions, and secured over £11 million in financial benefits for local people. They rely entirely on voluntary donations and gifts in wills to fund their work, and with instances of cancer 1 in 2 people, there is huge demand for the support they provide.

Please donate to bail me out (or keep me in!) and support Maggie’s – every £ will help.
