I have persuaded Jill to accompany me on a charity car run with Pistons to Places: from St Ives to Munich to Stelvio Pass to Pisa to Dijon to St Ives; all inside 4 days at the end of June 2026; in a car under £1000; a total of circa 2300 miles; to raise money for the children's charity Little Miracles.

There will be 25 old bargain cars travelling together, attempting to get to Pisa and then hopefully the 25 will return to St Ives, but as with old cars anything could happen!

Jill and I will be picking up our costs since it's our big adventure for 2026, we have already bought the car and named our team, but while we anticipate enjoying the road trip, there is also a serious purpose to it...

Pistons to Places has set a target to raise a minimum of £1000 per car, which will all go to the charity Little Miracles to help children and their families across the East of England.
