This June, I'm fundraising to support children in care by cycling 200 miles from Lincoln to York. Donations go to Become, the national charity for children in care and young care leavers.

I have met and worked with many children who have been in care during my career and it is a great cause close to my heart.

Every child and young person needs support, encouragement and stability – and, crucially, love. In care, sadly that doesn’t always happen.

Become directly helps care-experienced young people, giving them the support and stability they need to smash their goals. They also amplify young people's voices and campaign for a better care system.
