Story
I am incredibly excited (and nervous!|) to be joining the other crazy people taking on the 2026 London Marathon, including my brother, Ted, and our ‘brother’, Dave.
We’re proud to be running in support of Scope UK, a charity working to create a fairer, more inclusive society for disabled people.
As a teacher, I see the support that is put in place for children with additional needs and how vital it is that they and their families are properly understood, included and empowered.
In the UK, there are 16 million disabled people – that’s one in four of us – and 11% of children are disabled, including 1.7 million with special educational needs (SEN).
These aren’t just statistics; they reflect real children and adults who deserve the very best opportunities.
By taking on this challenge, we want to help raise awareness and vital funds so Scope can continue providing life-changing support, campaigning for equality, and breaking down barriers that so many people still face.
Every donation, big or small, goes directly to Scope and makes a real difference: bringing us closer to a world where disability isn’t a disadvantage.
Your support means the world to us, and every contribution truly helps.
Alright… let’s do this!!!!!
